Shawn P. Dalton

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC Shawn P. Dalton, 64, of Holly Drive and formerly of Waterford passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026. Born in Cohoes he was the son of the late James E. and Doris Heroux Dalton. He was a 1979 graduate of Waterford Halfmoon High School.

While a resident of the Waterford area he had been employed at the former Dion Hardware Store in Waterford and Globe Electric Co. He relocated to the Myrtle Beach area 25 years ago and had been employed as an electrician with the Reliant Electrical and Automation Co. there. He retired several years ago.

Shawn was a friend to everyone. He enjoyed working with his hands and was quick to help out anyone who might be in need of his mechanical abilities. He especially enjoyed working on cars.

He is the brother of James B. Dalton (Elizabeth) of North Greenbush and the late Daniel M. Dalton. He is the brother-in-law of Kelly Dalton-Trotter of East Greenbush. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026 at noon at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte. 32), Waterford.

Relatives and friends may visit with his family on Friday from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m., prior to the memorial service.
