Obituary of Shawn Lemay Gehlhausen
Shawn Lemay Gehlhausen, 60, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023. The wife of Louis Gehlhausen, Shawn was born October 26, 1963, to the late Stanley and Minnie Thomas Lemay in Lancaster, Kentucky. A registered nurse with St. Joseph Healthcare, Shawn was a natural caregiver who loved to share kindness not only through her profession, but through the gift of blankets. She enjoyed collecting blankets of all kinds and passing the symbol of warmth, comfort, and love to others. Shawn was also passionate about animals. She loved dogs and cats but had a special place in her heart for giraffes. Shopping, listening to country music, and attending concerts were some of her favorite pastimes.
In addition to her loving husband of 36 years, Louis Gehlhausen of Frankfort, Shawn leaves behind her children, Ryan Gehlhausen of Frankfort, Shelby (Nicholas) Kaminski of Loveland, OH, and Adam (Natalie Hardy) Gehlhausen of Somerset; a brother, Greg Lemay of Cincinnati, OH; and a granddaughter, Aurora, Adam and Natalie's daughter.
Shawn was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Minnie Thomas Lemay, and a brother, Randy K. Lemay.
