Shawntee Forrester Parton, affectionately known as Shawn, entered eternal rest on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at her home in Annapolis after a lengthy illness.
Shawn was born on March 29, 1977 in Annapolis, Maryland to her parents Richard E. and Constance E. Forrester. She received her education in the Anne Arundel County Public Schools and
Anne Arundel Community College. She began her early Christian life at St. Marks United Methodist Church. She began her employment at the South River Rehabilitation Center as dietary assistant. She work other various jobs for many years. She was a good, hard-working employee until her illness no longer allowed her to serve that capacity.
Shawn enjoyed shopping, driving around, dressing up with her glamourous jewelry, perfect hair and makeup. She loved looking pretty. She enjoyed spending time at the library and going to Barnes and Noble bookstore; she loved history, music, football games and dining out at various restaurants. Her very favorite foods were steamed crabs and corn on the cob.
Shawn leaves to cherish the good memories: daughter, Chanel Parton; mother, Constance Forrester; two brothers: Michael (Sherisha), Brian (Rochelle); and one sister: Shannon; nieces and nephews: Mikell (Kadeem John), Ryan, Brionna, Kamesa, Michael Jr., Noah and Aaliyah; aunts: Shirley, Irene, Theresa, Terri (Louis), and Marsha; uncles: George Forrester, Tuwa Abulla (Donya); great-aunt, Beatrice Bowie, Pauline Watkins Proctor (James) and great uncle Raymond Thomas (Darlene); and a host of cousins and friends.
Shawn was preceded in death by her father, Richard E. Forrester; paternal grandparents: Haley and Gertrude Forrester; maternal grandparents: James Thomas and Betty Colbert; uncles: Gregory Boston (Elizabeth), Clayton Thomas, Augusta McGowan, Haley Forrester, Jr., Douglas Forrester and Larry Forrester. Aunts; Mary Galloway (Mack) and Janice M. Forrester; and her daughter Chanel's father, Benjamin Dennis, Jr.
