Funeral Services for Shearl Bean, age 91, of Lineville will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Rev. Billy Todd and Rev. Stanley Yarbrough officiating. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Christian Church Cemetery.
Mr. Bean passed into his eternal home on Monday, May 26, 2025 in Huntsville. He was born in Randolph County and lived in Clay County most of his life. He worked for Southern Natural Gas for many years and was a dedicated member of Shady Grove Christian Church for 63 years. Mr. Bean loved singing and was still leading songs at church.
He is survived by his children, Gary (Janie) Bean, Denise (Jon) Medlock, Donna (Dennis(deceased)) Thompson, Deana (Jim) Brewer, Stephen (JB) Bean, Sherry Yarbrough, Kathy Florence, Wanda White, Judy Swaim, Faye Vitale, Myra Browning, Debra Pufahl and Robert Fincher; grandchildren, Matthew (Helen) Medlock, Meagan (Aaron) Williams, Christian Steele, Tyler (Sarah) Brewer, Clayton (Autumn) Brewer, Mary Esther (Kevin) Maxwell and Bianca Bean; great-grandchildren, Emerson, Iris, Eliana, Madeline, Landon, Mia, Clara Jane, Kit and Abel; sisters, Joan Cox and Ann Hughes; a large and wonderful extended family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Henry Martin Bean and Alma Daughtry Bean; wives, Sadie Young Bean, Billie Taylor Bean and Ethel Key Bean; grandson, Mark Medlock; 3 sisters and 6 brothers.
Active Pallbearers will be Matthew Medlock, Tyler Brewer, Clayton Brewer, Landon Steele, Doug Dewberry and Kory Thomas.
Honorary Pallbearers will be nephews and extended family.
A visitation will take place on Thursday, May 29, 2025 from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville.
