Shearolyn Ruth Smith, 80, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2025.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Eternal Life Church with Pastor Willy Adams officiating. Cremation is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to Eternal Light Church, 822 N Weatherly St., Borger, Texas, 79007.
Shearolyn was born June 5, 1945, in Pampa, Texas to Irving Howard and Betty Masters Howard. She married Bobby “Bob” Bascum Smith in 1968, in Pampa. Shearolyn enjoyed doing arts and crafts, gardening, crocheting and going out to eat. She was a devoted and active member of Eternal Light Church in Borger. Nothing brought more joy to her life than her family, who she loved deeply.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Irving and Betty Howard; husband, Bobby “Bob” Bascum Smith; and son, John David Smith.
Survivors include her sons, Kenneth Wayne Smith and wife Vicky of Amarillo, Mark Stephen Smith and wife Teresa of Sweetwater, Bobby Wade Smith and wife Shannon of Sanford; daughters, Carol Burland and husband Leonard of Borger, Cheryl McNutt and husband Cody of Fritch; grandchildren, Brandon Smith and wife Tanna, Bradley Smith and wife Jessica, Kennley Smith, Kaylee Smith Chavez and husband JC, Christopher Smith and wife Nicole, Dalton Smith, Ashlee Holder, Bree Smith, Chance Holder, Waelynne Smith, Joshua Smith and wife Nikki, Amber Fetterolf and husband Wes, Aaron Burland and wife Amanda, Ashley Burland, Dean McNutt, Jaci Rhodes and husband Randy, Shelby McNutt; great grandchildren, Jaden, Lyssa, Lynnae, Ivanna, Brittani, Kyla, Ellie Jade, Dillon Jr., Zayden, Alecade, JJ, Jaxon, Blake, Jayden, Abigail, Hannah, Cooper, Bailey, Wyatt, Aiden, Ray, Addison, Ruth, Alex, Christian, Jackson, Jennabelle, JoAnna, Randy, William, Ryan; brother, Michael Wayne Twigg; sisters, Kathy Vega, Tammy Botello and husband Paul; and a host of extended family.
