Sheena McDonald Lord, a beacon of love and compassion, was born on August 26, 1985, in Athens, Georgia. She journeyed through life with a kind and loving spirit, leaving a profound impact on everyone she encountered. Sadly, she passed away on May 8, 2025, at North East Georgia Medical Center in Braselton, Georgia, leaving behind cherished and an enduring legacy.
Sheena dedicated her career to the noble profession of nursing in Commerce, Georgia, where her warmth and friendliness towards others shone brightly. Her passion for helping those in need resonated with her patients and colleagues alike, and she was well respected and beloved in her community.
A loving mother, Sheena was immensely proud of her daughter, Zoey Lord, who was the joy of her life. She often spoke about her hopes and dreams for Zoey, instilling values of kindness, resilience, and compassion. Family was immensely important to Sheena, and she nurtured close relationships with her loved ones.
Sheena is survived by her devoted partner, Anthony Crumley, whose love illuminated her days. In addition to her daughter, she is remembered fondly by her brothers, Daniel (Lisa) McDonald and Bobby McDonald, as well as her treasured mother, Brenda McDonald. Her loving spirit will forever be honored by her mother-in-law, Betty Dove.
Sheena is preceded in death by her father, Harold McDonald, and her brother, Corey McDonald, both of whom hold a special place in her heart and those of her family. Though they are no longer with us, their memories will always be intertwined with Sheena's story.
A visitation will be held in Sheena's honor on May 12, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ivie Funeral Home in Commerce, Georgia. This will be followed by a memorial service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, where friends and family can gather to celebrate the remarkable life of a truly extraordinary woman.
Sheena McDonald Lord's kindness, strength, and unwavering compassion will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her memory lives on in the hearts of her loved ones, a testament to a life well-lived, filled with love and dedication.
