Sheila Ann Amant, 61 of Stockton, left this world July 5th from her home.Sheila was a great mother to her 3 children and many of their friends, often claiming several as her kids. Always willing to take in anyone that needed a place. She had a generous heart and would never turn someone away if she was able to help. She spent most of her adult life working in healthcare including 20+ yrs as a CMT at Ozarks Methodist Manor in Marionville MO. She enjoyed riding horses and camping. Once even working as campground caretakers with her husband John. She always had a joke to tell or a funny story to share, anything to get people laughing. She loved people and never knew a stranger.Sheila was born September 26th 1962 in West Virginia to Abraham Leonard and Alta Dale (Lawler) Watson. She was the youngest daughter of 12 kids and spoiled by her siblings.She graduated from North Marion High School in 1980. She married Richard Stottlemire in 1981 and had 3 children. They lived in West Virginia, Virginia, and Maryland. In 1995 the family moved to Missouri and in 2003 they lost Rick in a vehicle accident.In 2004 she married John Amant and they have spent the last 20 yrs happily together in Missouri with a few years in West Virginia. Sheila is survived by her husband Johnny Amant of Stockton. Her daughter Joycedale and her husband Justin Chapman of Aurora MO. Her son Ricky and his wife Danyel Stottlemire of Stockton. Her daughter Jessica Vincent of Reeds Springs MO. 12 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter, all of Missouri. Her sister Charlotte Rohrbaugh, her sister Nancy and her husband Joseph Sokolosky, and a sister-in-law Laurien Stottlemire all of WV. Plus numerous other in-laws, nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband. Two grandchildren, Nicholas Eugene Stottlemire and Kalyn Marie Stottlemire. Two brothers, Leonard Watson and Terry Watson. 7 sisters, Shirley Davis, Clarice Prince, Deloris Tennant, Roberta Watson, Linda Elliot, Carolyn Swisher, and Joyce Roupe.Sheila will be truly missed by her family, friends, and loved ones.Final deposition will be cremation with a celebration of life service to be held in September.
