Sheila Corbin Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Chapel Hill Mortuary & Memorial Gardens - Cedar Hill on Apr. 28, 2025.
Sheila Corbin of Caseyville, Illinois, was born December 12,1975 in St Louis, Missouri. She was raised in Webster Groves where she loved to play softball and ride her skateboard, and she was an active Girl Scout for 12 years. Sheila fought a long, hard fight with cancer and passed away Sunday, April 13, 2025 at the age of 49.
Sheila was preceded in death by her mom and dad, Pam and Danny Lewis, and all her grandparents. She is survived by her husband, Teddy Corbin; her four kids, Roger (Alyissa) Zacher, AJ (Brittany) Zacher, Toni (Aubrey) Corbin, and Ty (Anna) Corbin; her three grandkids, Lily Knightlinger, Iris Timmons, and James Bingham; her two brothers, Gary (Molly) Chronister and Ray (Wendy) Chronister; her niece, Kyleigh Chronister, and her nephew, Jared Chronister; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as her best friends, Mysee (Mark) Welker, Scott Gustafson (Sarah,Kali), Debi (Wayne) Barcliff, and many other friends.
Sheila loved spending time with her kids and her grandkids, just so she could spoil them rotten! She looked forward to camping and float trips and was always up for a good barbecue in the summer. She loved music, and as a dedicated and true fan of the NKTB, she never missed a concert when they came to town. She also enjoyed listening to The Grateful Dead.
With her artistic talents, Sheila enjoyed diamond art and tie-dying, and she could usually be found wearing one of her colorful tie-die shirts and rug hoodies. She liked to play Bingo with her friends throughout the week, and it was always a good time when she won. To relax, she liked watching TV, especially cooking shows, which her favorites were Crime Scene Kitchen and Hell's Kitchen. And, she was also a fan of Big Brother and liked watching how competitive everyone got! In her spare time, she had fun finding new recipes for her husband, however, she never made them for him!
Sheila is loved dearly by all of her friends and family, and she will be deeply missed by all. A special thanks to Joy Lairmore for loving Sheila like she was her own.
