Sheila Jane Cramton, age 73 of Lynchburg, passed away Tuesday evening August 20, 2024 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born September 3, 1950 in Dayton, the daughter of the late William T. and Eulah (Greenwade) Bradley. She was a caregiver by nature, and for many years she was a nurse's aid caring for people in their homes as well as at several area nursing homes. Sheila was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Donald E. Cramton, whom she married on May 4, 1974 at the Allensburg Church of Christ. She is also survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Marcus Hodge of Leesburg; three grandchildren, Ariyanna Layne, Cathryn Hodge and Emerald Hodge; a sister, Kate Mahorney of Lynchburg; several nieces and nephews, as well as "Sugar" and "Sally" and her many other pets. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings, Thomas Bradley, Warren Bradley, Nancy Bird, Billie Stephens and Betty Malott. Visitation for Sheila will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2024 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg, when a funeral service will begin. Burial will follow in the Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery.
