HENDERSON- Sheila Dale Blackmon Edwards, 78, better known as “She She”, of Hillandale Drive, died Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at Duke Medical Center. Born August 23, 1947 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Myrtle Daniels Blackmon and Thurman Gerald “T.G.” Blackmon and was the widow of Joseph Hill Edwards. Sheila retired from Burkart Carolina where she was a bookkeeper.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Rev. Wayne Clark.
She is survived by her daughter, Tonya Edwards Hester and husband, Mickey of Oxford; her son, Dale Edwards and wife, Denise of Oxford; three grandchildren, Caitlin Ann West Hamrick and husband, Scott, Zachary Chase Hester and fiancée Haley Walker and Joshua Dale Edwards; a great grandson, Anderson Scott Hamrick; her sister, Kay B. Grissom and husband, Wade; and her brother, Gerald D. Blackmon and wife, Linda.
The family will receive friends Friday, February 6, 2026 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at her home and prior to the service on Saturday at J.M. White Funeral Home from at 12:30 until 2:00 P.M.
