Sheila Louise (Coffey) Halder, age 79 of Battle Creek, passed away on May 5, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on February 8, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Chester and Eunice (Eddy) Coffey. Sheila was a lifelong resident of Battle Creek and attended Harper Creek Schools. She previously worked at EPI, Post Cereals, and was a home health aide. She enjoyed fishing, canning, Bingo, bowling, sewing, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was united in marriage on February 7, 1980 to Darrell R. Halder. Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, son, Donald William Ernsberger Jr., brother, Danny Coffey, sisters, Diane Brow, Patricia Miller, and a grandson, Eric James Ernsberger. She is survived by her husband, Darrell R. Halder of Battle Creek, children, Ellen Barnaby, Lonnie (Vanessa) Ernsberger, Selena Halder all of Battle Creek, sister, Barbara Winke of Battle Creek, thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Funeral service scheduled for 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
