Sheila C. Link, age 86, of LaGrange Park, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025. Beloved wife of William "Bill" Link for a wonderful 67 years. Loving mother of Beth (Tony) Stampfl, Kristine (David) Dutton, Alison (Stuart) Dawley, Cathleen (George) Relias, and William (Cathy) Link. Cherished grandmother of Karl (Kristina) Stampfl, Erika (Matthew) Reardon, William (Ellaina) Stampfl, Lee (Sujey) Bebout, Ian (Valeria) Dawley, Joseph (Tedlin) Dawley, George Nicholas (Meaghan) Relias, Nina (Alex) Relias, Zoe (James) Lee, John Link, Christopher Link, Sean Link and David Link. Devoted great-grandmother of Jayden Bebout-Vega, Jack and Addison Stampfl, Miles, Conor, and Owen Reardon and Forrest Stampfl. Loving sister of Mary Louise (Thomas) Mellick. Preceded in death by her loving parents Francis and Christine Teeling and her dear family members Sarah (Daniel) Welsh, Frances (Keith) Fahey, and Edward Teeling. Fond friend of many.
Sheila grew up in Waukon, Iowa where she met the love of her life, Bill. They enjoyed most of their married life in the Chicago area where they shared a beautiful faith and raised an amazing family. Sheila's adventurous spirit led her to travel throughout the world with her husband and her friends. An avid golfer and fierce competitor, Sheila enjoyed many sporting events, card games, and, most recently, Bingo! She lived a full life leading us all as a great example of love, loyalty and devotion.
A visitation will be held from 9am until the 10am Funeral Mass on Saturday, August 23rd at the Alexine Chapel, 1515 W. Ogden Ave., LaGrange Park. Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Nazareth Academy or The Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph.
Arrangements entrusted to Hallowell & James Funeral Home, Countryside at 708-352-6500.

I cherish our many fun- filled years in Elementary & High School days, both with Sheila & Bill. Our adult visits were free but memorable in a comfortable "forever friends" manner. Sheila was a very special & precious woman. I was blessed to have known her. Connie Sweeney (Sister Raeleen)
