Sheila Lyde Perhealth, a loving soul who devoted her life to caring for others, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, at Richmond County Hospice Haven in Rockingham, North Carolina. Born on February 24, 1956, Sheila enriched the lives of all who knew her as a registered nurse, providing compassion and assistance in the most critical moments.
Sheila was not only a dedicated medical professional but also a cherished member of her community. A proud member of the Church Of God Of Prophecy Church, affectionately known as "The Rock," she embodied the values of love and service in both her personal and professional life. Her loving nature touched many hearts, leaving a lasting impression on those she served and worshiped alongside.
Sheila is survived by her beloved son, Clyde David Perhealth III, and his wife Susie. She found immense joy in the presence of her grandsons, Samuel, Jake, and Jaxon, whom she adored and cherished deeply. Sheila is also survived by her brother, Kyle Lyde, and his wife Lillie, and her sister, Bridget Greene, along with her husband William along with numerous nieces and nephews and special friend Tim Howell and daughter Regann. Their bonds were a testament to a family that stood together, offering support and love throughout their lives.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis H. Lyde and Johnnie Mae Lyde, and brother Lewis Lyde, Jr., whose legacy of care and compassion lives on in their daughter.
A visitation in honor of Sheila will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham, NC. As friends and family gather to celebrate the remarkable life of this loving individual, they will remember her unwavering dedication to helping others and the warmth she brought into their lives.
Sheila Lyde Perhealth will be deeply missed, yet her spirit and the love she shared will forever resonate in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
