Sheila Diane Reid, age 69, of Middlesboro, KY, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, November 3, 2024. She was born on January 22, 1955, in Pineville, KY, the daughter of Robert Reid and Barbara Jean Miracle Reid.
Her life was a testimony to her unwavering faith and love for the Lord, which she carried with grace throughout her years. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and she found immense joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were her entire world. They all brought light and laughter to her life.
Throughout her life, Sheila had a passion for decorating her home, creating inviting spaces that reflected her warm spirit. Sheila leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion that will endure in the hearts of those she touched. Her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her, reminding them of the power of love and family.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her children, April (Mark) Bell, Ashley Wilder and Anthony Saylor; grandchildren, Terry (Emily) Partin, Candice Sizemore, Roger Sizemore, Elizabeth Lambdin, Makenzie Neff, Aubrey Saylor, Alexah Saylor, Johnathan Bell, Brooklyn Wilder, Adelyn Saylor and Bennett Saylor; great-grandchildren, Lilly, Isaiah, Daniel, Paxton, Eli, Ivory and Bentley; siblings, Francis Brown, Mitchell Reid and Christopher Reid; special nephew, Layford Brown; special friend whom she considered as a daughter, Anna Hunter; and a host of other special family and friends.
The family of Sheila Reid will receive friends on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, KY. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Buster Patterson presiding. Music will be provided by Justin Warwick.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at the Reid Family Cemetery, located beside the Old Salem #1 Baptist Church, 6721 Highway 190, Pineville, KY. Reverend Kelly Partin will be presiding. Pallbearers will be Anthony Saylor, Roger Sizemore, Mark Bell, Dalton Daniels, Layford Brown and Terry Partin. Honorary pallbearers will be Mitchell Reid, Johnathan Bell and John L. Cox.
