Sheila Warner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bowser Family Funeral Home - Mena on Sep. 12, 2025.
Sheila Marie Warner, age 83, of Mena, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at her home. She was born on Tuesday, December 16, 1941 to John and Myrna Cessna McKinsey in Arcade, New York.

Sheila was a determined and spirited woman who loved the Lord and allowed His guidance to shape every step of her life. Her greatest joy was her family, whom she cherished deeply and for whom she would give everything of herself. A lifelong caregiver, Sheila dedicated her career to serving others through hospice work with the Area Agency on Aging, earning recognition for her tender, award-winning care. She found peace and delight in reading books of every kind and in the simple pleasure of feeding and watching the birds outside her home. With a generous and compassionate heart, she cared for people, animals, and even strangers in need, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Jack McKinsey, and Yvonne McKinsey; and her grandson, Paul Mahoney.

Sheila is survived by her two sons and daughters in law, Craig and Cherie Warner of Mena, and Eric and Diane Warner of Roseburg, Oregon; her daughter and son in law, Laura and John Mahoney of Mena; her siblings, Georgetta Lucas, Tom McKinsey, Wendy Simpson, Keith McKinsey, Marilyn Roberts, Lisa Christiano, Lorena Spencer, and Deanna Miller; her grandchildren, Mark Mahoney, Adam Warner, Andrew Warner, Justin Martin, Ryan Tipton, Michael Warner, Erica Warner, and Danielle Warner; numerous great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

No services are planned at this time. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena, Arkansas.

She lived on my street. We would visit every so often. She always let me choose a book to borrow, as we had a love of reading in common. I moved away a year ago, but she was.a wonderful lady who loved to laugh. Along with her witty personality. I am so glad I got to meet her.
