Shelby McLaughlin Obituary
Born on May 14, 1942, in Cumberland, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Garland and Katie (Deal) Scott. On February 17, 1961, she married Lyman McLaughlin in Flat Rock.
She was employed with United Steel Workers as a Union Representative for several years until retiring in 2002.
She enjoyed reading, crocheting and sewing. She loved to travel, and more than anything, spend time with grandchildren. Her dog was also a highlight in her life.
Shelby was preceded in death by her husband, Lyman J. McLaughlin, brothers, T.J. Scott, Bobby Scott, Charles Scott and her parents.
She is survived by her daughters, Roxane (Jim) Branch, Tammy (Kevin) Jeska, grandchildren, Chris (Bridgette) Robertson, Nick Robertson, Brittany (Eric) LaBeau, Tyler Jeska, Tanner Jeska, great-grandchildren, Aaron Robertson, Jace Robertson, Annabelle Shelby-Rose LaBeau, Hunter LaBeau, Dakotah LaBeau, Zachary LaBeau.
Visitation will be held at Bobcean Funeral Home, Carleton Chapel on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at Bobcean Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 6:00 pm. Pastor Rich Collins will officiate the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
