Shelia Kidd Obituary
We celebrate the life of Sheila Kidd, a woman whose heart overflowed with love and laughter. Sheila's journey ended peacefully on April 14th, 2024, but the warmth of her spirit will continue to touch the lives she brightened.
Sheila was a member of Eureka Bible Church of God in Christ at an early age. She loved working in the church and cherished praising the Lord. Sheila served on several committees, sang in the choir and was always there when help was needed.
In 1983, she graduated from Northern High School. Shortly after her graduation she enrolled in truck driving school. She later found that her joy was in customer service, so she worked in the Flint school district and Mr. B's Grocery, where she was more than an employee. Her twenty-plus years there were filled with humor and a smile that built a loyal following.
As a single mother, Sheila was all about her sons. She tackled challenges always making sure her sons knew they were important not only in her world, but in this world. Her love fueled their adventures and offered comfort in times of need.
Sheila was proceeded in death by her father; Willie Kidd; her mother; Mary Ruth Stout; and her brother Willie Kidd. Sheila's memory will be cherished by her loving sons, Demetrius Williams and Malik Kidd. Her warmth extended to her brother, Kalvin Kidd (Linda), step-brother; Elijah Stout (Jackie); nieces; Crystal Kidd-Martin (Victor); Kaylin and Lauren Kidd; Chanel and Arleisa Smith, nephews; Shavar Degrate; Brandin Stout, and Christopher Burgess. A special bond with her godchildren, Ku'Mari and Beautiful and many other amazing friends and family who were touched by Sheila's sunshine.
The family of Sheila Kidd wishes to express their deepest appreciation for the overwhelming outpouring of prayers, condolences, and acts of kindness extended during this time of profound loss.

My prayers and condolences are with Shelia Kidd Family. I remember her. I met Shelia in the 7th grade at Holmes Jr. School. She was a classmate of my very beautiful person inside and out. May God continue to give her family strength and comfort at this time. R.I.H Shelia
