Shelley Kay Lambert

SKANDIA- Shelley Kay Lambert, age 63, of Skandia, passed away on January 14, 2026, at UP Health System Marquette.

Shelley was born in Marquette on January 15, 1962, the daughter of William and Ruth (Murk) Lambert, she was raised in Texas and Skandia. Shelley spent part of her adult life in Texas, where she began raising her family, before returning home to Skandia, where she continued raising her children and made lasting roots in the community.

While devoted to her family, Shelley showed great determination by earning her GED as an adult. She worked briefly as a manager at the Whitetail Bar and Grill in Skandia, then went on to work as a cook at the Grove Restaurant in Harvey, where she was known for her hard work and love of cooking. She later left her job to care full time for her son, Toney, a role she embraced with deep love and dedication.

Shelley enjoyed cooking, camping, rock hunting, crafting, and tending to her many flower gardens, which brought her great joy. She loved hosting small get-togethers with friends and spending time with her family. Shelley was a down-to-earth, caring, and helpful person, always willing to lend a hand or share a meal. Her warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Rick Socia of Wisconsin, Tony Socia of Skandia, and Cory Kunde of Skandia; her grandchildren, Jordan, Jacey, Brian, Willy, and Kaiden; her brothers, Bill Lambert, Russ Lambert, and Dave Brisson; her sisters, Kerry Lambert, Sue Pyykola, Ginger Mikaloew, Anna Porter, and Dawn Lambert; her significant other, Alan Kunde; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Kari Socia, and her son William Socia.
