Shelly Lynn Vorhis
57, of West Alexandria, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 due to a traumatic brain injury.
She was born July 18, 1967, at Wright Patterson AFB, to her parents, Thomas A. and Linda L. (Parks) Vorhis.
In addition to her parents, Shelly is survived by her two sons, Anthony Vorhis and Brandon (Ashton Smith) Vorhis; grandchildren, Elijah, Jakobi, Chloie, and Layton; siblings, Dustin (Tammy) Vorhis and Chad (Stephanie) Vorhis; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Shelly graduated from Twin Valley South High School and attended Miami Jacobs where she obtained an associate degree. When her health allowed, she worked as a Legal Assistant for a law firm in Dayton, Ohio.
Shelly faithfully attended Farmersville First Baptist Church where she enjoyed studying God's Word, worshipping and participating in the Ladies Bible Study group.
She loved spending time with her grandkids, whom she considered her pride and joy. She enjoyed many things, especially music, word search puzzles, and being with her family and friends.
A visitation will be held Monday, October 7 from 4PM to 6PM at Farmersville First Baptist Church, 334 A N. Elm Street, Farmersville, 45325. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 6PM with her brother and pastor, Dustin Vorhis officiating. A private burial will take place at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
