Sheree Ann Cox passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 7, 2025.
A true lover of animals and nature, Sheree's life was filled with the joy and companionship of a wide array of beloved pets. From the unconventional charm of her pet skunk and pot-bellied pig, to her special dog monkey, a horse, and Rocky the squirrel. Sheree found beauty and connection in all living things. Her heart was especially devoted to her loyal dogs and cats, each one a treasured member of her family.
Above all, Sheree cherished her role as a grandmother. Her grandchildren brought her endless pride and joy, and she poured love, laughter, and stories into every moment she spent with them.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Mary, and her brother Bert Sandifer.
Sheree is survived by her spouse, Jackie Cox; her children, Jeremy (Lacey) Hix and Nicole Hix; her grandchildren, Molly Hix, Rosalynn Lane, Skylar Whitman, and Jasper Hix; and her sisters, Catherine (James) Geddings and Charlene Sandifer.
Sheree's legacy is one of compassion, warmth, and fierce love - for her family, for animals, and for the life she lived on her own terms. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.
