Sheree Sanchez Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by American Heritage Cemetery, Funeral Home & Crematory on Feb. 12, 2026.
Sheree Darlene Sanchez, 69, devoted wife, mother, and faithful servant of the Lord, left this

world to ascend to her heavenly home-free from pain and illness-on February 10, 2026.

She was born on February 27, 1956, in Midland, Texas, to Levenia Piper and John Mizzles.

Sheree met the love of her life, Rene Sanchez, and they were married on Valentine's Day in

1992. With their anniversary soon approaching, they will now share a heavenly reunion and a

slow dance that will last forever. Sheree was truly the light of every room she entered and had a

deep passion for living a joyful life alongside her family and friends. She instilled strong values

and a caring spirit in her son, Dusty Piper, who continues to reflect her compassion and

kindness.

As an expression of that caring nature, Sheree spent the majority of her professional career as

a Home Health Aide with Nurses Unlimited, lovingly caring for those in need. She was known

not only for her attentive care, but also for her willingness to listen, often sharing extra

conversation and companionship with her patients. Even in retirement, her servant's heart

remained evident as she continued providing private health assistance and caring for family

members during times of illness.

When she was not working, Sheree found joy at home tending to her garden and spoiling her

loyal puppy with endless affection. She loved people deeply and desired little from this world

beyond sharing moments, laughter, and meaningful connection with those she cherished. Her

passing was sudden, and while her family and friends rejoice in knowing she is now free from

pain, they continue to pray for comfort and peace as they navigate the loss of such a beautiful

light in their lives.

Sheree is survived by her son, Dusty Piper, and daughter-in-law, Carol Piper; her sister,

Deborah Lashley; her brother, Gary Mizzles; her sister-in-law, Olga Rivas, and brother-in-law,

Luis Rivas; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rene Valdez Sanchez; her mother, Levenia Hester

Piper; her father, John Mizzles; her sister, Mashell Mizzles; and her brother, John Mizzles.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 18th, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at American

Heritage Funeral Home in Midland, TX. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, February

19th, at 10:00 AM, at American Heritage Cemetery.
