Sherie Lynn Basin, aged 49, of Eastpointe, MI, passed away unexpectedly on January 15, 2025. Born on December 27, 1975, to Camille (Mazurek) and Raymond T. Basin in Warren, Michigan, Sherie was sadly preceded in death by her father, whose memory she held close to her heart.
Sherie leaves behind her loving mother, Camille Richardson, and her devoted brother, Ray Basin, both of Otisville, MI. She is also survived by her Bonus Mom, Pat Boyer of Lakeland, FL; her BFF, Windy Morang of Clinton Twp., MI; and her three cherished furbabies: two Bernese Mountain Dogs, Beau and Bella, and a Flemish Giant Rabbit she lovingly named Luke Sky Hopper. Additionally, Sherie is mourned by a multitude of friends who will miss her profoundly.
Sherie had a remarkable ability to touch the lives of those around her with her humor, creativity, and warmth. Her vibrant spirit and infectious laughter brought light and joy to every occasion. A loyal, loving, and dependable friend, Sherie had an enduring passion for travel, particularly to tropical destinations where she could bask in the sun's warmth and the beauty of pristine beaches. Her creative flair as a fashionista was evident in her impressive collections of shoes and eyeglasses. Her impeccable style and meticulous attention to her hair and makeup ensured she always left a lasting impression.
In her leisure time, Sherie was a talented cook who delighted in experimenting with new recipes to the joy of her family and friends. She also had a green thumb, nurturing plants that thrived under her care. Known for her competitive streak, Sherie enjoyed playing billiards and darts, where her charm and skill made her a formidable opponent and a beloved teammate. Her contagious laughter and radiant personality lit up every room she entered, leaving lasting memories for everyone fortunate enough to know her.
As we say goodbye to Sherie Lynn Basin, we celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and passion. Her journey was a testament to the words of Maya Angelou: "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Sherie's legacy will live on in the cherished stories, shared laughter, and deep love she leaves behind.
