On Wednesday, March 21, 2025, the world bid farewell to Sherlene Anthony Fuller, of 87 years. She was born in Roper, North Carolina on June 19, 1937, being the first born child to the late Mr. & Mrs. Aristotle Anthony.
Sherlene started her educational career attending North Carolina Central University earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and Library Science; California State University Fresno, CA Masters of Arts degree in education; San Jose, State University San Jose, CA Major in Library Science and Librarianship.
Her credentials are: California Administrative Librarianship; standard teaching, secondary; standard teaching elementary; general teaching Junior High; Virginia postgraduate professional license. She worked in the Fresno Unified School District forty plus years and lent her talent to the State of Virginia another 10 years.
Beside her professional sphere, she loved to sing, and was a member of Fresno Masterwork Chorus and Lyric Opera Chorus.
Preceded in death by Maxine Anthony. Left to cherish her memory, sisters Marlene Anderson, Gerlene Campbell, Vera Marsh, Sondra Jean Brown; brother, Aristotle Anthony, Jr. A host of nieces and nephews, grand and great.
In celebrating Sherlene's life, she was a true testimony on how God's promises are real, giving her 51 years more living with congestive heart failure. Rest peacefully my sister. You're Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Friday, April 4, 2025 at the Catholic Church of St. Mark.
