Sherlyn (Sherry) Kay Selvick, age 61, quietly passed away on August 18, 2025, after a courageous battle with small cell lung cancer.

Born January 23, 1964, in Wenatchee, Washington, to Oma and James Sizemore, Sherry was the youngest of four children, growing up with two brothers and one sister. Her childhood was spent among the orchards of Sunnyslope in the Wenatchee Valley, where she developed a love for animals, caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, and even roosters. She enjoyed horseback riding, was active in 4-H and the Appleatchee Riders club, and played piano and snare drum. A talented athlete, Sherry also pitched on a girls' fast-pitch softball team that earned a first-place trophy.

In 1976, Sherry moved with her mother to Olympia, Washington, where she completed her high school education. At 19, she returned to Wenatchee to attend cosmetology school, eventually owning her own salon. In 1986, she married her first husband and, the following year, welcomed her daughter, Anna. After her divorce, Sherry returned to Olympia with Anna, where she became co-owner of a hair salon before transitioning into property management.

It was during this time that she met and later married her second husband, Ronald Selvick. Together they built a full life, welcoming their son Royston in 1995. As a family, they enjoyed hunting, fishing, jet skiing, motorcycles, cooking, playing competitive card games, and celebrating every holiday to the fullest. Sherry and Ron also opened an automotive repair shop, where they worked side by side until Ron's passing in 2006 from complications of Hepatitis C and a liver transplant. After Ron's death, Sherry closed the repair shop and devoted herself to supporting her children, working as an office building manager. In later years, she found a new calling as a paralegal with the Law Office of April Thomas, where she was proud to help "save babies" and support victims of domestic violence.

Sherry will be remembered for her loyalty, strength, protective nature, and deep love for her family. She adored her grandchildren and took great pride in seeing her children become devoted and loving parents.

She is survived by her daughter Anna Jacobson (Neal); son Royston Selvick (Shelbie); grandchildren Arthur Jacobson, Lilly-Anna Selvick, and Ronny Selvick; sister Leann Doussett (Rick); nephews Andy Doussett (McKenzie Bomber) and Blake Doussett; and her extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.Sherry's legacy of love, resilience, and devotion to family will be carried forward in the lives of those she touched,
