Sherman Francis

Sherman Francis, 67, known to many as "Skeeta" passed away peacefully at Capital Health, Hopewell Campus with his sister, Ernestine and daughter, Erika, at his side on Tuesday, February 26, 2024.
He was a lifelong resident of Trenton, NJ. In 1978, Sherman served in the United States Army. He enjoyed fishing, fixing cars, grooming lawns, listening to music and most of all eating food. In moments of celebration and family gatherings, he often made a point to be part of these occasions, most notably making regular visits to see his siblings and loved ones. He was a member of Friendship AME Church in Browns Mills, NJ and also a member of The Rising Star Adult Medical Center for over five years.
Predeceased by his parents, Wilson Francis Sr. and Alberta Francis; two sisters, Laverne Francis and Charmayne Francis; three brothers, Wilson Francis, Jr., Roosevelt Francis, Sr., and Robert Francis; two nephews, Keith Lopez and Stephon Francis and a niece Veronica Francis.
He is survived by one daughter, Erika Francis, whom he adored immensely; two sisters, Wilomena Green (Isaac) and Ernestine Lopez, many nieces including a special niece, Felisha Francis, whom was his caregiver, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Sherman was strong-willed and lived life on his own terms. We rejoice in knowing he is at peace and is no longer suffering from the many illnesses he encountered throughout his life.
