A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Ball, Louisiana at 11:00 am with Brother Bruce Maxwell officiating.
Sherman was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Willie Lee Johnson; brother, Jerry Wayne Johnson; and a grandchild, Billy Garcia.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Victoria Johnson Nelson; grandchildren, Ryan, Robert and Victoria Nelson; brother, Philip Johnson; and sisters, Carolyn Havis, Claudette Hollis, Connie Bordelon and Jeannie Roark.
Sherman had so many cherished memories of fishing, hunting, outdoor activities and traveling. One thing he truly enjoyed was spending time with his family. Sherman worked with New York life insurance for 10 years and later on he did independent contractor work. He was lifelong connected to Pentecostals of Alexandria and attended Bentley United Pentecostals as well. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
