Sherri Lynne Hoff, 59, St. Marys, WV, passed away Friday, September 12, 2025, at Camden Clark Hospital. Born in Marietta, Ohio, she was the daughter of John E. Hoff and Judith K. Oldfield Hoff. She is survived by her mother, Judith K. Hoff, her sister Pamela Sue Hoff, her brother John Robert Hoff and wife Shawn, and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Sherri grew up in Newport, Ohio, and St. Marys, WV. After graduating from St. Marys High School, she moved to the San Francisco Bay Area, where she attended the College of San Mateo. After completing her education, she stayed on in California to pursue a career in human resources, working first with non-profit organizations before focusing primarily on the high-tech industry. Sherri had a thirty-year career in employee benefits and wellness program design, as well as marketing and administration. She had an impressive track record of successfully implementing International and U.S. employee offerings with a number of high-tech companies. She was proud of her success in developing customized Global Wellness programs and on-demand video education tools for employee health. Due to her specialty in Global Benefits, she was in high demand and was often recruited by companies to upgrade their global benefits programs. She traveled extensively to the Pacific Rim, the Americas, and Europe for her work, using her strong strategic management skills and specialized HR knowledge to evaluate and improve benefit programs worldwide. Some of the more well-known Silicon Valley Corporations that Sherri has worked for in her capacity as Director of Global Benefits include: McAfee Corporation, Adobe Systems Corporation, Seagate Corporation, Siebel Systems, Inc., and Samsung Information Systems. When Sherri retired, she returned to St. Marys WV to be with her family. She was a member of the Betsy Mills Club in Marietta, Ohio, where she continued her interest in sports and social activities. She was an avid sports fan and followed her fathers' favorite teams-the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cincinnati Reds, and the Cleveland Indians. A celebration-of-life will be held at a later date.
