Sherrie Lynn Lasiter, 58, of Carthage, Missouri passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. Sherrie was born in Carthage on November 3, 1962 to Carl Patrick and Harriette "McNary" Patrick. She was a member of Impact Life church in Joplin and dedicated over 20 years to Leggett and Platt as a Cash Application Coordinator. Sherrie was very active with Relay For Life for the American Cancer Society as well.
Sherrie was united in marriage to Francis "Gene" Lasiter on April 24, 1982 in Carthage, Missouri; he survives.
Along with her husband Gene, she is survived by her father, Carl Patrick; three sons, Craig Lasiter and wife, Madison of Carl Junction, Missouri; Patrick Lasiter and girlfriend, Jessica of Joplin, Missouri; and Clayton Lasiter and wife, Amber of Webb City, Missouri; three brothers, Randy Patrick and wife, Cathy of Sarcoxie, Missouri; Monte Patrick and wife, Cindy of Republic, Missouri; Harlan Patrick and wife, Annetta of Carthage, Missouri; sister-in-law, Laurie Patrick of Joplin, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Jonathan, Aliyah, Jake, Tyler, Camron, Avery, and Rhiannon; and numerous nieces and nephews, that she loved as her own.
Sherrie is preceded in death by her mother, Harriette and brother, Rick.
A service for Sherrie is scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at the Ulmer Funeral Home Chapel. The visitation will be held the evening before from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Ulmer Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made to either American Cancer Society or Bright Futures in care of Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at Park Cemetery in Carthage, Missouri.
