Sherry was born on December 22, 1942 in Dallas, Texas to Byron and Elnora Nichols. Sherry married Kenneth Ray Boone after graduating from Garland High School in 1961. The young couple moved to Springfield, Missouri where Kenneth graduated from Southwest Missouri State. Before moving back to Garland, her daughter Lisa Michelle was born on December 22, 1962 on Sherry’s 20th birthday. Her second daughter Melody Gay was born in 1968 in Garland. Sherry and Kenneth were married until 1992.

Upon her retirement, she enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as gardening, reading, shopping, square dancing and travel.

Sherry loved all holidays with her family but especially Christmas time. She was particularly fond of white flocked Christmas trees and Santa Claus. Her collection of Santa's filled her home and she enjoyed purchasing new Santa ornaments from places that she traveled.

She is survived by her siblings Karen Farmer, Nita Kaye Lamb, Byron Nichols of Rowlett and Randy Nichols of Garland.

She is also survived by her daughters and their husbands, Lisa and Tony Alexander of Rowlett and Melody and David Dickens of Seven Points. Grand children Jordan Averitt and husband Wes, Chase Alexander and wife Rachel, Brooke Vasquez and James Stoner. Great grandchildren, Carli, Daniel, Cason, Jaxon, Easton, Leyton, Lane and Legend.
