Sherry Sue Huff, 76, of Johannesburg went to be with the Lord, Friday, August 18, 2023, at Munson Healthcare Otsego Memorial Hospital.
Born in Alma, Michigan on September 17, 1946, she was the daughter of Gordon and Dorothy (Gibson) Clark. Sherry grew up in Breckenridge, Michigan.
She attended Michigan State University to pursue her love of sewing and design. On April 29, 1967, Sherry married the love of her life, Keith Huff. They recently celebrated 56 years of marriage. While raising her family, Sherry was a pre-school teacher with NEMCSA for 30 years and retired in 2009.
Sherry was dedicated to her community, serving years on many boards including Johannesburg-Lewiston School, Otsego County DHS/DHHS, 4-H, and the COP-ESD. In her spare time, she loved taking care of her flowers, sewing, reading, cooking, baking, shopping, hunting, spending time with her friends, but most of all pampering her husband, sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Sherry’s contagious laugh could be heard for miles, and she was always the life of the party. She welcomed anyone into gatherings and made them feel like they were part of the family. She was able to create last-minute meals and prided herself in the fact that no one ever left her home hungry.
Sherry is survived by Keith, her husband, of 56 years; sons, Rusty (Cindy) Huff and Troy (Heather) Huff; grandchildren, Blake (Leah) Huff, Hannah (Nick) Leech, Coalton (Kara) Huff, Brandon (Madison) Huff, Logan Huff and Sheldon Huff; great-grandchildren, Harper, Kaden, Barrett and three more precious ones on the way; brother, Bill (Barb) Clark; sisters-in-law, Elaine (Larry) Thompson, Fern (Stan) Kwapis, Theresa Huff and Hazel DuPont; brother-in-law, Kenneth Sewell; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Gordan Clark; in-laws, Russell Huff, Rodger and Cora Redick; sisters-in-law, Karen Sewell, Carol Kocur, Bonnie Huff, Jean Buc; and brothers-in-law, Don Huff, Richard Huff, James Huff, Richard Kocur and Chuck DuPont.
Sherry will always be loved from heaven above, and the family will continue to share their memories, and carry on her traditions. She will now be the first to know everyone’s secrets and won’t have to worry about not having to tell others before it’s time.
Until we meet again.

So sorry to hear about Sherry. Such a generous person who always was smiling. She spent many, many hours with her 4-Hers, teaching them her great sewing skills.

Just heard of Sherry´s passing and am thinking of your family. We just talked on Facebook last year and caught up on the past. She so loved her family and was so proud. I graduated from Breckinridge with her and she was always a joy to be around. Praying for all of you at this time. Diane (Fenner) Jones
