Mrs. Sherry Lenore Jaggers

Sherry Lenore Jaggers, 77, of Benton, Arkansas, passed away on February 17, 2025, in
Shelbyville, Tennessee. Born on March 1, 1947, in Texarkana, Sherry led a life marked by
devotion to her family, faith, and career.
Sherry was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Jaggers; parents, James and
Margye Sutton; and brothers, Wayne, Lloyd, and James Sutton. She is survived by her loving
sons, Monty (Cindy) Sherrill and Steven (Gabby) Sherrill; brother, Rick (Jan) Sutton; sister-in-
law, Dyian Sutton; brother-in-law, Jerry Jaggers; cherished grandchildren, Alex (Shiloh) Sherrill,
Piper Sherrill, Grayson Dauberman, Peyton Shipp, and Presley Shipp; two great-grandchildren,
Asher and Charles, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Professionally, Sherry dedicated her career to the insurance industry, where she began at an
entry-level position and ascended to upper management before her retirement. She was
particularly proud of her leadership and participation in the National Association of Women in
Construction, which reflected her commitment to empowering women in her field.
A person of deep faith, Sherry was an active member of First United Methodist Church of
Benton, Arkansas, where she served on various committees and taught Sunday School until her
health began to decline. Her life was a testament to her love for Jesus and her church community.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to Nurse Christie and staff at Gentiva Hospice of
Murfreesboro, Tennessee, for their exemplary care and unwavering support while Sherry was
under their care.
A memorial service will be held at a date to be determined. Those wishing to honor Sherry's
memory can make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association or First United Methodist Church
of Benton, Arkansas.
