Sherry Darlene Jasper, 71, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, May 20th, 2025, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Darlene was born on November 4th, 1953, to the late Vernon & Barbara Ruth (Stokes) Carr in Richmond, Indiana.
Darlene accepted Christ into her life at a very young age, and her faith continued to guide her throughout her life. Her laughter was contagious, and she had a way of making everyone around her feel welcomed and comfortable. Happiness and contentment came easily to Darlene, and she was happiest when spending time with her family -- especially her baby girl, Tabitha. Darlene also looked forward to and thoroughly enjoyed the monthly get-togethers with her brother and sisters. Many of Darlene's happiest moments also came from spending time and playing with her cat, Finn-Finn.
She is survived by her daughter Tabitha (Mike) Robinson of Eubank; her brother David (Gwen) Carr of Somerset; her sisters Carolyn (Gary) Jones and Meloney Gregory of Somerset; a "loaner" granddaughter Autumn (Bryson) Collins of Somerset; nephews & nieces Justin (Jeanie) Carr, Becky Carr, Jimmy Dan (Jasie) Carroll, C.J. Gregory, Rachel (Nathan) Lange, and Joshua (Amanda) Gregory, and a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews, and many other friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother-in-law Jack Gregory, a nephew, Gregg Jones, and a step-granddaughter, Chanissa Robinson.
A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, May 24th, 2025 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. David Carr officiating.
Darlene will be buried next to her mom at West Somerset Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends and family from 10 am until time for services on Saturday.
Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
