Sherry Lynn Miller, age 75 of Port Charlotte, Florida, formerly of
Salyersville, Kentucky passed away at her home on July 21, 2025. Sherry is
the daughter of the late Smith Slusher, Lucy Patrick Slusher, and Christine
Lindon Slusher. She is survived by her husband, Sammy Miller, Jr., of Port Charlotte,
Florida, one daughter, Michelle (Tommy) Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky;
one son; Steve "Pup" (Maryann) Miller of Port Charlotte, Florida; one
grandson; Seth (Morgan) Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky; one
granddaughter; Kelli Paige Howard of Knoxville, Tennessee; two step-
grandaughters; Jade (Jess) Howard of Port Charlotte, Florida and Taylor
Howard of Georgetown, Kentucky and one step-grandson; Colby Howard of
Dayton, Ohio; one great grandson; Dawson Kade Howard and one great
granddaughter Laynie Brooks Howard; three step-great grandsons; Braylon
Arnett, Cooper Conley and Kyden Howard; two step- great granddaughters;
Taytum Hagan and Kehlani Howard.
Two brothers Harold (Kay) Slusher of Fort Meyers Florida and Sam
Slusher of Tampa, Florida. In lieu of flowers due to the family traveling, they have requested donations
be made to the Magoffin County High School Senior Trip Fund. Sam &
Sherry spent 15 years traveling with Neil West and several of the Senior
sponsors to Washington DC. They always wanted to ensure each child had
the opportunity to go. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
