Sherry Broussard Pitre 49 of Beaumont, TX; passed Dec. 31, 2024.
Services are Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025, at New Temple CHSC 3820 Pine St. Beaumont, TX. Visitation will begin at 9AM until Funeral at 11AM. Interment will be in Green Lawn II Beaumont, TX.
On June 27th, 1975, Sherry Monique Broussard was born in Galveston, Texas to Shirley A. Savoie and the late John Broussard, Jr. She was a jewel from our heavenly father. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church. Sherry often boasted about having two Godmothers, Lady Savoie-Watson and Earline B. Gage. She loved her Godfather, Minister Chester Beckett, Jr.
Sherry attended Central High School and later pursued her love for cosmetology with Kaplan College when it was located here in Beaumont Gateway Center. She worked as a beautician for several years until her illness. She later held several jobs including at Sonic as a manager. Her most recent work was part time at the resale shop in Gateway Shopping Center before her surgery. Several years ago, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savoir. She often testified of the goodness of God and asked for prayer, above everything else.
On March 30, 2024, she was united in Holy Matrimony to Craig Pitre, Sr. at New Fellowship Outreach Ministry in Beaumont, Texas. The marriage was everything that she desired. The time may appear short, but the commitment of their love was intended for their lifetime.
Sherry is preceded in death by her loving father, John Broussard, Jr., her grandparents: John Broussard, Sr., Rose Broussard, James Savoie, Sr. and Elizabeth Dixon Savoie; her uncle, James Savoy, Jr., Aunts: Elsie A. Guillory, and Elizabeth Ann Savoie and her near and dear 1st cousins: Vincent David Barnett, Charles Robertson, David Lamar Boone and Patrick Robertson.
She is survived by the love of her life, Craig Pitre, Sr., one stepdaughter, Courtney D. Pitre; two stepsons: Craig Pitre, Jr., and Clinton Pitre; three step-grandchildren: Camari Keyser, Calil Keyser, and Jaelyn Pitre. Her siblings are Tameka Fontenot, Regina Carrier, Litdrena Martin (Daniel), Christopher LaFleur (Tenisha), and Jamie Hampton, Sr. (Sheletha).
Her nieces are Christine LaFleur, Christy LaFleur, Krisylynn LaFleur, Bailey Martin, Keyondra Thomas, Ayanna Green and Jasiey Hampton. Her nephews are Christopher LaFleur, Jr., Caleb LaFleur, Caden LaFleur, King LaFleur, Carter LaFleur, Christian LaFleur, Austin Martin, Jamorrion Sneed, Jamie Hampton, Jr., and Jaiden Hampton. She is also survived by a host of aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends. A special recognition for her friend, Donna Bruno and her Goddaughter, Shakira (Cookie) Bruno, whom she loved dearly
