Sherry Lynn Robinson came into this world on July 13, 1971. She was welcomed by her parents, the late Janet Robinson (nee Castle) and the late Russell Robinson, as well as her four siblings; Chris Studebaker (nee Robinson), Tim Robinson, Missy Church (nee Robinson) and Russell Robinson II.
Sherry had a rewarding career as the manager of a local convenience store before disease rendered her unable to work at a young age. She had a brilliant mind and the potential to do amazing things with her life before disease took hold. The last few years of her life were spent in a nursing facility where she made lots of friends and was cherished for her sweet disposition. She greeted visitors and fellow residents with great joy as excitement would light up her face as folks entered her room.
She loved the beach and looked forward to family trips to Myrtle Beach where she would enjoy watching the waves. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her Mom and her siblings. Sherry gave each of her siblings loving nicknames and they all wish they could hear her call to them one more time (Shishers, ChimChim, JayJay and Rob).
Sherry left us suddenly early in the morning on her 54th birthday. Her family and some special friends had plans to visit with her to celebrate. She was looking forward to the visits but was called Home too soon. Sherry had a firm, unwavering belief in God and Heaven. We can take comfort in knowing that she got to spend her birthday in her new home in Heaven! She must have had a marvelous birthday being reunited with her parents and grandparents! We can also lean on the understanding that we will see her again someday. Until then, we will continue to love her and hold sweet memories in our hearts.
Sherry is survived by her siblings as mentioned above, sons (Michael and Brandon), granddaughter, brothers-in-law, sister in-law, nieces, nephew, great niece, great nephew and many cousins. The family wishes to thank the staff of Salem Health and Rehabilitation, the transportation teams that carefully got her safely to and from dialysis four times a week and the Frensenius Kidney Care dialysis staff at Crystal Springs. Special thanks to her very kind roommate, Helen, who was great company and a comfort to Sherry.
The family will gather for a private memorial service at a later date.
