Coopersville – Sherry Ann Maslowski, age 71, of Coopersville passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, November 6, 204 after a hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Bad Axe, Michigan, to the late Allen and Mabel (Schave) Siemen. Sherry was preceded in death by loved ones including nieces and a nephew, her sister-in-law Donna Mankowski, and brothers-in-laws Thomas Mankowski and Ed Zylstra.
Sherry was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Known for her warm and welcoming smile, she found joy in spending time with her family and friends. Sherry was a devoted mother to three daughters; and after they were raised; she went to college to earn her bachelor's degree in accounting from Davenport University with highest honors. She then spent 27 years working at DeWys Manufacturing as an accountant and made many great friends.
Sherry enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, such as being a fierce euchre opponent and camping with her extended family and friends. Above all, her family was her greatest joy, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Frank Maslowski; daughters Stacy (John) Roberts, Laura (Lang) Davis, and Shannon (Chuck) Ranney; grandchildren Karissa, Kyle, and Keagan Roberts, Ryan and JT Davis, and Dylan and Max Ranney; siblings Pat (Don) Cook and Carol (Doug) Otterbein; sisters-in-law Marlene Zylstra and Margaret (Richard) Prusakiewicz, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will welcome relatives and friends for visitation on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church Family Center, 17150 88th Avenue, Coopersville, MI 49404. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 A.M. at the church, with Fr. Michael Hodges as celebrant. Interment will take place at St. Michael’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Ann’s Home, 2161 Leonard St NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504.
