Sherry LaVaughn Stephens, 61, of Canton, passed away on June 11, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born in St. Louis, MO on June 29, 1963 to the late Alvin and Ruthie {McCole} Coley.

In addition to her parents, Sherry is preceded in death by her sisters Loretta Bailey and Tawanta Hanley, brothers Larry and Mark McCole.

Sherry is survived by her loving children Shaun (Mary) Stephens, Shanna (Adam) Stewart, Jala (Tim) Berry and Jadon Bertin; grandchildren Jeremiah, Gabrielle, Camryn, Gabriel, Kyndel, Jaxsen, baby Vaughn to be; siblings Barbara (Curtis) Smith, Sherman (Mary) McCole, Theresa McCole, Terry McCole, Abron McCole; Mom Diane and Papa Jesse and their family; a host of beloved nieces, nephews, God-children and friends.

If you knew Sherry, she was sassy, full of life, and could be found year-round watching Hallmark Christmas movies! She loved to cook and host family gatherings, especially at Christmas. Sherry loved reading, Motown music and playing cards with her sister.

Sherry's unwavering strength, grace and faith during her battle with cancer were unmatched. Her quick wit and strong spirit will be fondly remembered by those who love her most.
