Sherry Ann Shumate passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024 surrounded by family, after a very courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
Sherry was born to James and Cynthia Trull on July 28, 1974 in Corsicana, Texas. She was the older sister to her loving siblings, Kelly and Christie, and was raised in Mildred, Texas.
Sherry leaves behind her husband Jeff Shumate with whom she shared a life with for the past 18 years, and 6 children.
Sherry loved fiercely and left a positive impact on everyone she met. She had a bubbly personality and was always in a good mood. Her best friends Lori and Betty say that she was the life of the party. When she was at home, you could find her watching a true crime documentary or taking care of her chickens and plants.
Sherry is preceded in death by her father, James Trull, daughter Whitney Douthit, aunt Debra Ball, grandparents William and Florence Young, and grandparents Evelyn and Richard Trull.
Sherry is survived by her husband Jeffrey Shumate, her children Anthony and wife Adriana, Brittany and husband Donnie, Jacob and wife Desiree, Treston and wife Lauren, Devin, and Mckenzie, along with her mother Cynthia Trull, siblings Kelly and Christie, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sherry also had 11 grandchildren who are going to be lost without their Meemaw. Alex, Connor, Kelton, Levi, Eli, Evaleigh, Jaxon, Peyton, Gatlin, Kasien, and Colt.
Pallbearers will include Sherry's sons; Anthony, Jacob, Treston, Devin, brother Kelly, and grandson Connor.
