Beloved Wife, Mother and Nana
NAUGATUCK - Sheryl Atwood, age 72 of Naugatuck, passed away unexpectedly on August 2, 2024, at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was the wife of Brian Kalinowski
Sheryl was born on April 25, 1952, in Laconia, NH, the daughter of the late Robert E. and Eunice (Avery) McClary. A dedicated homemaker, she devoted her life to raising her children. Sheryl had a fervent passion for thrift shopping, always on the hunt for the best deals and loved collecting purses, specifically her Betsy Johnson purses. She cherished every day, often exclaiming that it was her birthday, and brought joy and humor to every gathering with her lively spirit. Sheryl was undoubtedly the life of the party, known for speaking her mind and effortlessly keeping everyone in line. Her vibrant personality and infectious laughter will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory besides her husband, Brian Kalinowski, are her daughters; Audrey Atwood and her partner, Adam Alverado, Tine Petrillo and her partner, Jose Maldonado, Chaisty Start and her husband, Robert, her daughter Kathy Lush all of Waterbury and her son, JC Kalinowski and his partner, Caitlin Smith of Beacon Falls as well as her two fur babies; Ruby and Milo as was many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Sheryl will be held privately and at the convenience of her family.
