Sheryl Anne Marie Nickle, age 63, of Cottage Grove, MN, passed away in the early hours of October 28th after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and loved ones at United Hospital. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Trobaugh; brothers: Rick, Steven, Terry, Kipp Trobaugh; and sister: Julie Olsen. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Paul Sr. “Nick”; children: Andrew Wilzbacher, Brad (Esther) Wilzbacher, Chad Wilzbacher, Paul Jr. (Lisa) Nickle, Patrick Nickle, Misty Nickle; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Sheryl graduated from Central High School in 1979 and married the love of her life on June 18th, 1988. She ran her own in-home daycare center, caring for many children whom she loved dearly for over 10 years. For the past 20 years, Sheryl and her husband worked together running a home health care service, where she touched countless lives. Sheryl loved taking care of people, but above all, she cherished her family and friends. Her faith in the Lord was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her in all she did. She loved cooking, shopping, walking her two dogs, and sharing the love of Christ with those around her.
Visitation 5-7 PM with Memorial Service at 6 PM, Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th Street S, Cottage Grove, MN 55016. Final resting place will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
