Sheryl Rowe Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McNutt Funeral Home - Conroe on Oct. 30, 2024.
Sheryl Lynn Rowe, known affectionately as Sheryl (Honey) to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2024, in Conroe, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 9, 1964, in Houston, Texas, Sheryl's vibrant spirit and boundless energy were evident from the start.
A proud graduate of McCullough High School, Sheryl continued her education at Blinn College before pursuing her passion for beauty and creativity at North Harris County College of Cosmetology. Her career as a Master Florist and Nail Technician spanned over three decades, during which she touched the lives of many with her artistry and warm, engaging personality. Sheryl's life was a testament to her adventurous and loving nature. She thrived on being actively involved in her community, served in the children's ministry as a Sunday School teacher, served as a table leader on Epiphany and Emmaus walks, most notably as a lay director of an Emmaus walk. Even as she bravely battled Parkinson's disease later in life, Sheryl's determination saw her attending (RSB Rock Steady Box) boxing classes, where she not only fought the illness but also formed lasting friendships which she called her peeps.
Her interests were as varied as they were passionate. Sheryl could be found playing cards or dominoes with dear friends, dancing the night away, enjoying the serenity of fishing, or attending concerts. Her creative talents shone brightly as she made beautiful flower arrangements for various weddings, family anniversaries and funerals, always ready to lend a helping hand to family and friends.
Sheryl's legacy is carried on by her beloved husband, Kevin Rowe; her daughter, Abigail Frazier; son-in-law, Cole Frazier; and her cherished grandchildren, Brynley and Brady. She is also survived by her brothers, Kenneth & Tammie Leal, Jason & Liv Leal; nephew's Ryan, Richard, Drexler, Sterling Rowe, Carlos Leal; niece's Hilary, Renee, Hannah, Demi Rowe, Chloe Leal; and her father-in-law, Richard Rowe and a host of aunts uncles and cousins each, whom held a special place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Connie Leal, and mother-in-law, Delia Rowe. Those who knew Sheryl best would describe her as adventurous, loving, and creative-a woman who embraced life's journey with grace and joy. In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, "To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children... to leave the world a bit better... to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." Sheryl embodied this sentiment, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
Sheryl's life will be celebrated with a service at The Woodlands Methodist Church (Harvest Service) Friday, November 22, 2024 at 1:00PM that reflects the love and light she brought into the world. Her story is not one of sorrow, but a beautiful tapestry woven from threads of joy, love, and the memories she created with those she cherished. In a world that can often feel transient and fleeting, Sheryl Lynn Rowe's legacy is a reminder of the enduring power of love and the beauty of a life well-lived. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered with affection and smiles, much like the ones she so generously shared throughout her remarkable journey. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Boxing for Battle Inc. or HAPS (Houston Area Parkinson's Society).
