Ms. Sheryl Lynn Zienta of Ashley, Il departed this life at the SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, IL on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at 4:23 P.M. She had attained the age of 56 years, 3 months, and 3 days.
Sheryl was born on June 25, 1966, in Centralia, IL, the daughter of Louis "Jr." and Cynthia (Vaughn) Shopinski.
Sheryl worked for many years as a phlebotomist at Crossroads Hospital in Mt. Vernon, IL and she was of the Catholic faith. She loved crafting and in her younger years, she enjoyed playing softball.
Left to mourn her passing are her three children, Heather Zienta, Stephanie Zienta and Zachary Zienta all of DuBois; a grandchild, Brantley Ewell; her parents, Louis "Jr." and Cynthia Shopinski of Ashley; 5 siblings, Betty (Anthony) Szopinski of Radom, Ernest Shopinski of Scheller, Gregory (Laura) Shopinski of Ashley, Stacy Pytlinski of Ashley, and Allen Shopinski of Mt. Vernon; nieces, nephews, other relation and friends.
She was preceded in death by her sister Cindy Shopinski.
Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Ashley, IL on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. Following the visitation, cremation will be performed and burial of Ashes will be held at a later date.
Should friends desire, memorials can be made to the family of Sheryl Zienta and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
