Sheryll Cisson Obituary

Sheryll Ann "Sherry" Cisson passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025. She was a daughter of Stanley and Chesteria Watassek Twardy. She was a beloved wife to her high school sweetheart, Kenneth A. Cisson, for 56 years; a proud mother of her twin sons, Kirt (Carri) Cisson, and Jason Cisson; and a very proud nana to Tesa (Ben) Johnson, Hailey and Ali Cisson. Sherry and her husband resided in Strabane and Houston, PA before moving to Surfside Beach, SC to be with their children and families. Sherry retired from Mellon Bank & Citizens Bank, where she held the position of bank manager. She was a graduate of Canon-McMillan High School and Business Technical Institute in Pittsburgh. Sherry was a Disney World "kid" at heart, and always enjoyed visiting the Florida parks with her husband and family. Surviving, in addition to her immediate family, are her sisters, Bonita (Martin) Rockwell, and Deborah (David) Abbondanza; her nieces, Alicia Mazon, Jonelle (Drew) Williams, and nephews, Shaun (Randi) Rockwell, Matthew (Ashley) Abbondanza and their beautiful children, Samantha Mazon, Keegan and Koen Williams, and Domenic and Makson Abbondanza. She also leaves behind her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and their families. A celebration of life will be held November 8, in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Debbie,Bonnie and families,
My condolences on the passing of your sister Sherry. I remember you from our days growing up in Strabane. I especially remember the annual Polish picnics in Wolfdale. You and you parents hold a special memory in my heart. So sorry for your loss.
