It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shirlee Karenell Gray of Falcon Colorado on October 8, 2025 as a result of cancer.
Shirlee was born on March 4, 1949 to Pauline and Johnnie Torry in Chicago Illinois. After graduating from high school in 1967 Shirlee worked in various jobs as office managers. She was also the first female route sales driver in Colorado.
In 1974 Shirlee met Mike Gray in Colorado Springs and had two children Tracee and Christopher. Shirlee enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, fishing, camping, and planting flowers.
Shirlee truly knew that it was more of a blessing to give than to receive. Her generosity knew no bounds. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother and a beautiful soul who went out of her way to help others. Her smile lit up every room that she entered. She lived life to the fullest and especially loved spending time with her family, friends and beloved dogs.
Shirlee was known for her strong will, unwavering determination and love and support for her family and community. Shirlee was a beacon of kindness and love. Although she is gone, she will reside in our hearts forever. We find solace in knowing her spirit lives on through the love she instilled in us.
Shirlee is survived by her husband Mike, daughter Tracee, son Chris, granddaughters Leia and Skylar and brother John.
A visitation will be held at Springs Funeral Home 3115 E Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs CO on Thursday October 18, 2025 from 4PM-7PM.
