Shirley "Boo Boo" Bang, 77, of Vancleave, Mississippi, went home to be with the Good Lord on July 1, 2025. Born on May 30, 1948, in Vancleave, he was the beloved son of the late Valley Bang. Boo Boo is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Georgia Ann Bang; his daughters, Rachel (Robert) Braddock and Brandy (Tim) Edwards; sister, Bobbie Jean (James) Myers, and two brothers, Melvin (Patricia Rose) Ely and Ray Bang, two cousins, who were like sisters to him, Maggie Griffin and Jo Ann Kirby. And someone very special to us, who was like a mom to him, Aunt Shirley White. A true outdoorsman at heart, Boo Boo was an avid turkey hunter and fisherman. He found great joy in nature and enjoyed watching Atlanta Braves baseball, softball and football. Boo Boo spent his entire career working in the logging business, where he was known for his dedication and hard work. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 5, from 10 am to 11 am, with an 11 am Chapel Service, all at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Vancleave. Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery in Vancleave. Boo Boo will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Homes is honored to serve the family of Shirley “Boo Boo” Bang.
