Rebecca L. Hand, age 70, of Vancleave, left this earthly world on Saturday, June 28, 2025.
Ms. Hand was born on November 16, 1954 to the late Louis and Virginia Wolff.
She attended Country School and Canton High school in Canton, SD. A 1972 graduate from Camas High School in Camas, Washington. She was a member of the 4-H club and a church choir member at Canton United Methodist Church. After High school she worked in a nursing home as a CNA. Although she never got the chance to become a nurse as she always hoped, she continued to care for those she loved. She later worked at the shelter for battered women and children in Biloxi, MS.
Rebecca, affectionately known as Becky, found the love of her life, Norman Lee Hand, and settled in Vancleave in 1991. This is where her story really began.
Moving to Vancleave brought Becky everything she had wanted. A loving family, friends, and a beautiful life filled with love.
Becky was a loving wife, mother, aunt, sister, daughter, friend, and her greatest title, Nana.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Helen Comford and Louis and Virginia Wolff; her loving husband, Norman Lee Hand; mother and father in law, Eather Earl and Lillian Hand; siblings, Billy Wolff, Ronald Wolff, Jerry Wolff, Michael Wolff, Karen Kephart, Penny Markham, Dianna Fromdahl, and Gary Rossow; nephew, Keith Miles, and bonus Great Grandson, Archer Clyde Landstreet.
Left to cherish her love and memories are her children; Jeremy (Jenny) Comford, Patrick (Jessica) Stundahl, Cody (Janine) Wilson, Kiley (Nicholas) Wilcox, Rachel Evans, and Brenda (Tommy) Land; siblings, Pam (Dennis) Miles and Bob Comford; grandchildren, Ivy Comford, Elias, Emmett, Avery, and Mattie Lou Wilson, Londyn, Paisleigh, and Colin Wilcox, Tommy, Angela, Eugene, Darren, and Harper Land. Sabrina Prevost, Tammy Landstreet, Jennica Palabrica, Adysyn and RJ Groves, Tenisha and Xena Bang; And her beautiful Grand Pups, Luna and Yrsa Stundahl; Special family friends, Donna “Granny” Davis and Steve Hatley; and Numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
A special Thank you to Hospice of Light in Ocean Springs for all their kindness, compassion, and empathy. Our mother formed special bonds with her care team, and she loved them all dearly.
Memorial services for Ms. Hand will be held Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Vancleave United Methodist Church at 11am with the Rev. Steven J. Allen presiding.
