Shirley E. Beecher

Shirley E. Beecher, 72, of Downingtown, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025 at Chester County Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Ronald J. Beecher, with whom she shared 47 years of marriage.

Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of Lillian Robinson Edwards and the late Howard Edwards.

Shirley was a kind and gentle soul who cared about everyone. She loved to talk and had a great sense of humor. She loved listening to country music and attending car shows with her husband. Most of all, she loved spending quality time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and mom, Shirley is survived by her son, Matthew J. Beecher; her daughter, Danielle L. Beecher (Michael Dailey); four siblings, Kathy Lutz, Russell, Richard and Howard Edwards and by three grandchildren, Kyleigh, McKinleigh and Harper Leigh Dailey.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 10, 2025 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown. Family and friends will be received from 9:45-10:45 a.m.

Interment will be in Northwood Cemetery, Downingtown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Rheumatology Research Foundation.
