Shirley Louise Boord

Shirley Louise Conrad Boord, 88, of Fairmont, passed away on January 22, 2026. She was born on March 1, 1937, a daughter of the late Benjamin V. and Wriller Williams Conrad.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Bonnie J. Summers; grandchildren: Christopher Lee Birdsell, Jeremy A. Boord, and Travis L. Boord; twelve great grandchildren; one brother: Billy Conrad of Mogador, Ohio; many nieces and nephews; and close friends: Bonnie Brown, Jane Miller, and Judy McDonald.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Boord; her son, Edward Allen Boord; a grandson: Jeffrey R. Boord; and siblings: Lela Myrel Holcomb, Anna Jean Speiss, Mary Pearl Brewer, Sharolett Bollings, Arnold Loyd Conrad, Stephen Ellis Conrad, James "Jim" Conrad, and Ervin Conrad.; and a loving and caring friend David Mercer.
Born in Webster County, Shirley moved to Rivesville in 1944. In 1957 she met her husband, John, and they later had two children, Bonnie and Edward. Edward passed away on April 11, 2016.
Friends and family will be received at Hutson Funeral Home, 3171 Husky Highway, Farmington, on Wednesday January 28, 2026, from 11 am until the time of the service at 1 pm with Evangelist Craig Matheny officiating.
