Shirley Jean Johnson Brown

Shirley Jean Johnson Brown was born on November 16, 1957, to the late Walter and Ruby Johnson; the youngest of fifteen children. She attended the public schools of Saint Lucie County. She later met and married Michael Brown. Shirley was the mother of four wonderful children. Throughout the years of her life, she held various jobs. Her greatest accomplishment was working with others doing the work of God. She was dedicated and loyal to her church. Shirley grew up in the House of God Church under the leadership of Elder E. Ghent. She later rededicated herself to Jesus under Elder Miller where she remained faithful and supportive.

The book of life for Shirley was closed on Friday, November 14, 2025. The Master called her home. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Johnson; father, Walter Johnson, Sr.; brothers, Walter Johnson, Jr., Freddie Johnson, Gene Johnson; sisters, Ruby Roberts and Hattie Peterson.

Left to cherish her precious memories are her loving and devoted husband of many years: Michael Brown; children: CJ, Yvette, Lewis, Jeremiah; grandchildren: Quashawn, Donovan, Quentin, Serenity, Kiara, Harrison; four great grandchildren; brothers: Willie Lee Johnson, Charles (Andrea); sisters: Lillie Ewing, Rosalind (Teddy) Bryant; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and sorrowing friends who will miss her dearly.
