Shirley M. Buchfeller

Shirley M. Buchfeller, 98, of Allentown, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. She was the wife of the late Richard F. Buchfeller, who passed away in 2012. She was born in Allentown on July 9, 1927, to the late Clarence S. Eck and Ethel A. (Christman) Eck Prete. She graduated from Allentown High School in 1945. She was employed at H. Leh and Co., Western Electric and retired from the Allentown Public Library in 1976. Most of all, Shirley enjoyed being a homemaker, especially cooking, baking and caring for her family. She was an avid bridge player. In their later years, Richard and Shirley loved traveling and spending time at their winter home in Florida.
She was predeceased by her beloved sons Richard Alan in 1968 and Scott Edward in 2018.
Survivors: sister Roseann Sulick of California; daughter in law Lynda Buchfeller of Palmerton; nieces and nephews as well as their families.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
